KS Milkmaid update

I talked to Christina the night before last and she is truly walking through a darker valley than many of us will ever experience. I wanted to know what I could say on her behalf and I think I am clear on this: I can give the facts.
First of all, you all need to know that the new hearing date is August 13 at 3:00. It has been postponed now several times - sometimes at the last minute. You can imagine how stressful that is, to get geared up for a heavy emotional experience and then to have it postponed, leaving you with the unresolved stress, only to have to gear up again.
Christine's husband is facing nearly 50 criminal charges and the prosecutors are moving forward with the case. However, his family has hired two attorneys who are vigorously defending him.
Anyone familiar with the criminal justice system in this country will understand what I mean when I say that victims are brutalized twice by crime - first during the criminal act and then again by the criminal justice system in which defense attorneys pull out all stops to defend their client.
This means Christina's reputation is being ruined as the defense attorneys look for any possible way to discredit her. The fact that people stepped in to help her - even just by the Saturdays when people have helped her and the kids on the farm - has become suspect. The goal is to make her look like a liar who is using this situation for her own profit.
Efforts are being made to ruin Christina's reputation locally and through various websites. Anonymous emails are being circulated to defame her and reduce her support. If you receive any of these, will you please forward them to me?
This is now part of her daily life: Dealing with people in the community who have sided with her ex-husband, being grilled for depositions, living with fear (her husband is out on bond), even as she struggles to keep her family together with food on the table. Not to mention being misjudged by people who don't accept or understand the facts.
This will culminate when she has to take the stand and be shredded by the defense attorneys with whatever "evidence" they have concocted to use against her. Her oldest son will also endure this. Christina's husband will not take the stand, as is his right under American law.
Isn't that something? How the victim becomes the one to stand trial? This is why rape victims often will not prosecute their cases - even if they originally intend to, once they see where it is going, they lost their courage.
This will be a long month for Christina. I am putting the KS Cow in my right sidebar as a daily reminder for all of us to pray! She reads the comments here, so feel free to leave a message for her.

I always check here to see how Christina is doing. Her and her family is definitely in my prayers as she continues on with her battles. May the Lord strengthen her and hold her family tight as the Truth will soon be seen.
Love to you and yours....from Oklahoma

Christina, my thoughts are with you and your children. I wish you safety and strength.
Barbara, does the family still need donations, and can they accept them? I thought you had an earlier post on that but I couldn't find it in the archives.

I will be praying for you and your family and this situation.
Psalm 91: 14,15 - "Because he(righteous person)loves Me", says the LORD, "I will rescue him"; I will protect him for he acknowledges My name. He will call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him.
Psalm 37:1-7 Do not fret because of evil men or be envious of those who do wrong;
For like the grass they will soon wither, like green plants they will soon die awy.
Trust in the LORD and do good; dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture.
Delight yourself in the LORD and He will give you the desires of your heart.
Commit your way to the LORD; trust in Him and He will do this:
He will make your righteousness shine like the dawn, the justice of your cause like the noonday sun.
Be still before the LORD and wait patiently for Him; do not fret when men succeed in their ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes.
Psalm 37: 32,33
The wicked lie in wait for the righteous, seeking their very lives;
but the LORD will not leave them in their power or let them be condemned when brought to trial.
Feast on God's promises to you and know He is with you!!!!

Christina, I do not know you, but I do know that you must CLING to God. He is your very anchor right now. I cannot imagine what you must be feeling right now. I do know that I went through my own 'hell on earth' about 4-5 years ago regarding custody and a trial and such. It was exhausting and very stressful. THE ONLY THING THAT GOT ME THROUGH THAT TIME WAS GOD!! Please be comforted knowing that we are family here in Christ and I will not cease to pray for you. 1 John 4:4. Greater is He that is in you, then he that is in the world. Romans 8:37 says we are more than conquerors through Christ and verse 39 says that NOTHING can separate you from the love of Christ. God loves you. Trust Him believe that all will be well. Jesus said nothing is impossible to him who believes. I will keep you before God in my prayers, dear sister. With much love and support, Linda

Christina: continue to trust in The Lord, He will see you through.
I received the lirics to a song this morning and I think they are very apropiate for this ocassion. Be blessed today.
A Song by Ginny Owens........................
IF YOU WANT ME TO
The pathway is broken
The signs are unclear
I can't find the reason why You led me here
But just because You love me the way that You do
I will go through the valley
If You want me to
Chorus:
Now I'm not who I was
When I took my first step
And I'm clinging to the promise You're not through with me yet
And if all of these trials can make me like You
I will go through the fire
If You want me to
It may not be the way I would have chosen
'Cause it leads me through a world that's not my home
But You never said it would be easy
Only that I'll never go alone
When the whole world turns against me
And I'm all by myself
And I can't hear You answer my cries for help
I'll remember the suffering Your love put You through
And I will go through the valley
If You want me to
