The state of Israel was formed the year I was born - 1948. All my life I've been reading headlines "Unrest in Middle East." But it is amazing how many people in America today do not grasp the tragedy in Israel because of the spin and manipulation of the media.
Bruce, a friend of the family who is a Messianic Jew, forwarded this link to me. Watch it when you have a chunk of time and concentration to devote to it. It's a powerful in-a-nutshell history which may surprise you as my oldest daughter Samantha - who is 37 and so has 22 years less history in her memory banks - was surprised.
