Contributions needed for adoption
Hello Barbara,I have your new books and I subscribe to your blog with Bloglines. I have been praying for Hattie and I love the links you provide for us. I feel like I know you! And I wanted to ask you a favor - even though you don't feel like you know me :-)
I am adopting a 12 year old girl named Natalie from Liberia. Her parents were killed there in the civil war while crossing a bridge to find food. She has been waiting in foster care for a family and now she has found one! That's us! The only thing is that we just adopted twin 4yo boys in June from the same orphanage and we are having to get creative to find the funds to make this adoption happen in a timely manner (it WILL happen - it is God's idea!). We have this fundraiser we just started. Look at it here:

The only way it can work though is if we can circulate it far and wide. Would you please invite your blog readers to donate just $1 each and then to pass the link along to others? We need 9500 people to donate $1 and grants should cover the rest of the expenses. I hate to beg but we really need to get this passed around. This is a big leap of faith for our family.We homeschool our 5 biological children and now 2 Liberian children (look forward to using your books with them!) If I can tell you any more about us to help you decide if it is worth your blog space then please ask!

I checked this out and want to support this family, so have donated $10. It seems like a small amount for our family to give - but if many families give, the Tippetts witll have the money they need and Natalie will have a home.

Dear Tippett Family,
We have 8 children -- including 3 children we adopted from Russia and a little girl from Haiti. I remember trying to figure out if xxx amount of people gave us $xxx, then we'd have enough for our adoption(s)! But God has blessed us abundantly more than we could ever have imagined -- and He gets all the glory! We were blown away by the generosity of others and how God just made it happen! My husband is fond of saying "God will fund what he calls you to do!" So, keep looking to your Provider -- HE WILL PROVIDE!!!
I have sent you some money today -- may God multiply it many times and may Natalie come home to her forever family SOON!!
