Real Women Scrap! Win a free book!

I met an amazing woman at the Mt. Hermon Writers' Conference last year. Well, there are always amazing people at that conference, but when I'm mixed in with 400+ people who all have stories to tell, I'm grateful for those "divine appointments" like the one last spring where I decided not to go to bed early to read like I usually do, but to go sit by the fireplace in the lounge to see who I would meet.

So it was that I ended up talking to Tasra Dawson for an hour or two - long enough to hear her amazing life story and to catch a glimpse of where her calling as a wife/mother/writer/scrapbook artist has taken her.

realwomenscrap.jpg

Tasra is the author of Real Women Scrap - but she's so much more than that. First of all because her vision for scrapbooking is so comprehensive - kind of like scrapbooking as a metaphor for life. I really appreciate the message she carries to women about their scrapbooking adventure meaning much more than memorable pictures and fancy layouts.

As Jill Davis, founder of Scrapbook.com says; "Any woman who is looking for an anchor to her self-worth, identity and faith, will find it in the pages of Tasra Dawson's book."

And Tasra gives so much of her encouragement and practical help away for free at her blog Real Women Scrap. She even does little video clips to show you how to take better pictures.

Tasra not only sent me my own personal copy of Real Women Scrap, but sent me a copy to give away to one of my readers. If you would like to be entered in a random drawing for your own autographed copy of Tasra's book, please leave a comment here before 8AM EST 8/20.

I will write your name on a card and have Jonny draw the names out of a hat. One entry per reader, please!

Don't forget to comment - you will love this book!

Love,

How kind of Tasra to offer a copy of her book to one of your readers. I would love the opportunity to read her work.

Oooooh...I would LOVE this book. I am a scrapbooker, AND a REAL woman, and would truly enjoy Tasra's take on it. I get very little support of my "hobby" from my spouse - he feels it only takes up "his" money on this "crud" (he used a different word, though). It broke my heart, because I pour out my soul on the pages I create, and he doesn't see it as anything more than money-wasting, time-consuming garbage. sigh....
