This is so frustrating! Our oldest tested high for lead poisoning and it was a scary and humiliating process for us since we were so attentive to him and kept our house clean and fed him well, etc. Social services had to get involved and the county government came and inspected our house, etc. They never once mentioned toys (or bibs!) as a possible contaminant. It was always the paint in our 1800's house that they targeted (which was in good shape and had been painted over several times). I guess when I read stuff like this I feel that it's yet another area where the government is ... mind boggling. Wouldn't it make sense to make sure the paint was lead free before putting it onto toys in the first place???
Sorry for the rant.
