    The Little Red Hen
Hooray for a good work ethic! The little red hen asks but receives no help in her efforts to put bread on the table. Yet all who wouldn't help would like to eat. In a refreshingly old-fashioned triumph of moral consequences, they don't get to!
  • Noisy Nora
    Noisy Nora
Poor Nora! The loveable mousette experiences all the pangs of the child-in-the- middle, caught between the demands of baby brother and bossiness of big sister. Catchy meter, playful illustrations make for a wonderfully satisfying mouse's tale. Baby-Preschool

The beauty of people with Down syndrome

I've told you all about my friend Gloria from Sonoma County,CA - she's the one with a grown-up daughter with Down syndrome who shares her mother's name. She's the one who wrote the Mother's Day reflection on her daughter with Down syndrome I published last May.

Those Glorias are really something else! It seems they are always traveling somewhere for a new adventure. Here's the latest picture they sent us from a Special Olympics fundraiser where they dressed in traditional Mexican garb:

Btw, the Our Little Extras picture album - the collection of mother/child with Down syndrome pictures I published also on Mother's Day - is an ongoing project

Our Little Extras: A Mother's Day Down syndrome celebration

Feel free to send me pictures anytime. Please bookmark the album to share with anyone you know who gets the news that their baby has Down syndrome. These beautiful faces will surely help!

Love,
