GOOD DEEDS

By Johanna Crosby
August 20, 2007

Stephen Clinton, 32, of South Dennis got to be a Beach Boy for five minutes — and thanks to the kindness of a stranger, the photos to prove it.

During the Beach Boys concert Aug. 12 at the Cape Cod Melody Tent, actor and guest Beach Boy John Stamos spotted Clinton, who has Down syndrome, waving to him from the front row. Stamos brought him onstage and coached him to sing along to "Good Vibrations," and the audience cheered.

Patty Cloherty of North Falmouth, who was in the front row, shot photos of Clinton's big moment. She e-mailed them to Clinton so he could have a memory of the thrill of a lifetime.

Talk about good vibrations.

Mmm. I love that. :)

Value, and kindness, and appreciation for a segment of our population that many of those in charge believe need to be aborted.

I always knew I liked 'uncle jesse' (John Stamos' character on Full House)

:)

How awesome!

That is awesome. There are people out there that are kind and that love our children no matter what their condition is. That lifted my day. Thanks
