A busy week for me
Hello from South Bend, Indiana where I am spending the night before taping an interview on Reaching the Left from the Right with The Harvest Show tomorrow morning.
I flew into Chicago this afternoon and rented a car to drive to South Bend - about two hours - with a brief stop at Macy's to buy a new blouse and scarf to wear tomorrow.
There are a LOT of trucks here!!!! And billboards for "gentlemen's clubs," adult bookstores, and casinos. And - my favorite - billboards with huge mug shots of men who are wanted for child molestation.
It's also very flat and makes me miss the rolling unblemished landscape of Virginia - plus our beautiful roads.
After the interview, I am driving back past Chicago to Aurora, where I am on assignment from Citizen magazine (Focus on the Family) to cover the stealth opening of the largest Planned Parenthood clinic in the US and the protests going on there.
I come home Thursday - then Friday and Saturday I will be covering the Washington Briefing in DC.
Will try to keep you updated as I go along. . . .

Barbara,
Wave hello when you drive by the Valparaiso exit on your way back to Chicago!! That's where I live. I'm about 45 minutes west of South Bend. :)
Have a safe trip and great interview!

Wow, you're in my neck of the woods, too. I currently live outside of Indy. Wish we could have scheduled you for our MOPS meeting on Friday! What a treat that would have been!

I saw your interview this morning on the Harvest show and enjoyed it very much. The Lord has been talking to me about evangelizing so I'm always looking for books and info that will make me better at it. Sounds like your book might be a good source so I'll check it out. You are number three on the list of books to read. Don't worry I read fast so you will move up quickly....now if only my budget could keep up with my reading. Evelyn Wood never told me how to deal with that problem. :-)
Have a good trip! As a former Hoosier I know Indiana can be pretty this time of year.

Barbara: you are going to be about an hour and a half away from me! I wish I would have known about this earlier, I would have planned a trip to go see you. If you get this message early enough let me know, maybe I can make it!!!
Nilda.
(Aurora is about one hour away from here)

Oh, I wished I'd have known, too! You nearly drove right by our exit! And, I would love to have come to South Bend to see you do your interview in the studio!

Barbara,
I can't wait to hear your thoughts on the PP situation in Aurora. We've been following it on the local news and through our homeschool group.
It would great to see the community come together in protest and see the clinic closed. I know there is a rally on the 27th with hopes of doing that.
Hope your trip went well. It may be flat here, but fall can be pretty, when it's not rainy.

I've been following that Planned Parenthood story. Looking forward to reading your take on it.
