    The Little Red Hen
Hooray for a good work ethic! The little red hen asks but receives no help in her efforts to put bread on the table. Yet all who wouldn't help would like to eat. In a refreshingly old-fashioned triumph of moral consequences, they don't get to!

    Noisy Nora
Poor Nora! The loveable mousette experiences all the pangs of the child-in-the- middle, caught between the demands of baby brother and bossiness of big sister. Catchy meter, playful illustrations make for a wonderfully satisfying mouse's tale. Baby-Preschool

Patrick Henry Hughes - transcending "disabilities"

Kathy sent me this to share here - an inspirational story that illustrates what I keep repeating: While we designate some people "disabled" - and many privately think of them as somehow "less than" - we are all just differently-abled.

Here is a young man who has accomplished more than many designated "normal" or "gifted." Not to mention his dad's accomplishments in terms of love, service, faithfulness. What a blessing!

There are other videos of Patrick Henry Hughes - just do a search at YouTube under his name.

That was beautiful Barbara! What a wonderful lesson to all of us; as his father said "we have nothing to complain about". What an inspiration!

Dear Patrick,

I saw the Extreme Home Makeover show on Sunday Feb. 17th and did not move from my TV for 2 hours. I wanted to tell you what an inspiration it was to learn about you and your families life. I suffer from multiple sclerosis so I can relate a little to what challenges you face every day. Your music talent is awesome. What do you plan to do musically in the future? How do you like college? When I hear people mention the word disability with you, it just dosen't compute. You have have such a positive outlook on life that even though I don't know you personally, I feel like I've known you for a very long time. Thank you for touching my life and multitudes of peoples lives around the country and the world.

Sincerely,
Gil

God bless
