Six sisters seeking a brother
Beth Lambdin has been a good friend of MommyLife for as long as I can remember. She is proud mom of six - count 'em at the Quiverfull album - six daughters.
Here is an email I received from those daughters the other day:
Hello from the Lambdin sisters, We are emailing everyone in our Mommy's address book...so many of you have NO IDEA who we are because you only know our Mom! So......if you are not interested in this just hit delete & don't be mad, ok? Our family is trying to adopt a baby brother! We are so excited and want to help so we are going to sell Christmas Wreaths as a fundraiser for the adoption! If you want a Christmas wreath for yourself or as a gift for someone else we hope you will order them from us. (we have received wreaths three different times at Christmas - once from our Aunt Julie & once from my Moms friend, Cathy & once from Creative Memories consultants in Maine and they were GREAT gifts!! We loved it!) We make $5.50 on each wreath and are hoping to sell hundreds! I have long felt that the church should support families who wish to adopt the same way we support missionaries. And take a look at the Lambdins - they could use a brother, doncha think?

Wow Barbara!
I'm just in from a morning of homeschool co-op classes & got online to do one of my favorite things - check out your blog! To my amazement there was a post about my girls fundraiser. THANK YOU for helping us spread the word...what a tremendous blessing!
We actually do now have a baby boy now - he was born this past Spring & is 6 months old. We are seeking to adopt a baby brother(or two!)to add some more "sticks and snails and puppy dog tails" to the "sugar and spice" mix! We know this officially puts us into the "they are out of their minds" category with many folks but we KNOW this is the direction we are being led.
And yes....the main obstacle is finances. Having been in full time ministry in Christian education for 20+ years - let's just say - "great is our reward in heaven". :) We are believing God to supply for this adoption!
Thank you for your post - can't wait to show the girls - they will be thrilled beyond belief!
