    The Little Red Hen
    Hooray for a good work ethic! The little red hen asks but receives no help in her efforts to put bread on the table. Yet all who wouldn't help would like to eat. In a refreshingly old-fashioned triumph of moral consequences, they don't get to!

    Noisy Nora
    Poor Nora! The loveable mousette experiences all the pangs of the child-in-the- middle, caught between the demands of baby brother and bossiness of big sister. Catchy meter, playful illustrations make for a wonderfully satisfying mouse's tale. Baby-Preschool

Meaningful gifts from World Vision

With six kids in public school - including four with special needs - the list of teachers, assistants, principals, coaches, specialists, therapists, and bus drivers I want to remember in a special way at Christmas can be overwhelming. Can you imagine the line up of little gift bags? I have done it in the past, but always seem to forget someone. And this year - with six kids in five schools and three buses, I've decided to go for something more meaningful that we can all share in.

Through World Vision's Christmas Catalog, I ordered a goat for a family who needs milk and cheese.

World Vision is a great alternative for gift-giving. Especially for the person who has everything!

And you can download and print out cards to give to those you are gifting in this way. Hope you all enjoy this too!

Love,

Another great giving opportunity that I heard about from my daughter is http://www.networkforgood.org/
Network for Good :: Home
And there is another site where you can give loans to people in third world countries to help them establish or grow their businesses.
http://www.kiva.org/
Just a couple of thoughts.
