    The Little Red Hen
Hooray for a good work ethic! The little red hen asks but receives no help in her efforts to put bread on the table. Yet all who wouldn't help would like to eat. In a refreshingly old-fashioned triumph of moral consequences, they don't get to!
  • Noisy Nora
    Noisy Nora
Poor Nora! The loveable mousette experiences all the pangs of the child-in-the- middle, caught between the demands of baby brother and bossiness of big sister. Catchy meter, playful illustrations make for a wonderfully satisfying mouse's tale. Baby-Preschool

Vintage prints: a child's day

I scanned these last summer but never got around to posting them. They're from a framed series of panels I picked up at a garage sale many, many years ago. They've been hanging in my kids' bathroom where they can look at them when they wash their hands or brush their teeth. Thought you might enjoy them too:

I really searched to find out who the artist was/is, but have not been able to turn up anything. I would love to give him/her credit and find out where others can get these.

Looking at the original, I'd say these date back to the 1940's - but that's just my guess.

If anyone wants them in higher resolution, email me and I'll send them to you so you can print them out. They're not perfect as they are so old, but still, they'd be cute in individual frames too.

I love the rosary and the holy water font - do you suppose the Holy Spirit was planting the seeds all those years ago? Thanks for the beautiful and inspiring posts. Your journey has been a blessing to this cradle Catholic.
