Emma Bombeck Writing Contest
Just want to share this for those of you who love to write. Here's a chance to shine - with an essay under 450 words.
Just keep in mind that it's imperative to observe the word limit. And if you start with 900 and have to whittle it in half, you'll be amazed at how much better your piece witll be. As Mark Twain said, "I would have written you a shorter letter, but I didn't have the time." One of the reasons my blog entries are so long is that I don't have the time to edit my stuff here - I'm just talking as though you were right here. As Florence Littauer said, "My kids knew that where one or two were gathered, there mother would give a sermon."
Anyway, I sent in an entry. If you enter, let us know!
