Amazingly mine is not! I am usually the biggest procrastinator when it comes to undecorating. It usually takes me all of January to get it done. But this year the ornaments came off on Monday, the tree was disassembled and put into the bag on Wednesday, my living room was put back together again yesterday and our stockings came down. The only remnants left is the big Christmas Tree bag that needs to go down to the basement and the boxes of ornaments that have to go into storage. I can only attibute this to the fact that the tree and stockings were just about the only ornaments I was able to get up this year so undecorating was not as daunting a task as usual, and thus I didn't feel compelled to procrastinate. Just to give you a little idea of the depths of my undecorating procrastination, my son's Happy Birthday Banner just came down and his birthday was the 6th of December! I wish I could say I left it up on purpose to celebrate Jesus' birthday, but sadly that was not my intention. All that said, there is nothing wrong with extended Christmas Cheer in my book :)

This year ours is staying up until The Baptism of the Lord (this coming Sunday). :)

We took our tree down on New Year's Day, which is a bit early for us. I like putting the tree up early (right after Thanksgiving), but after Christmas all the decorative clutter starts really annoying me and I'm ready for a big clear out and getting all the new stuff organized. But this year two of our three strands of lights went out on Christmas Day which was too depressing - a tree looks sad without lights. And our 10.5 month old was after the tree at every possible moment. So we were well ready to pack it all up as soon as possible.

Yes, it is!

I am embarrassed to admit...YES, my tree is still up. This Christmas seemed to come so fast that I didn't even get the tree out until the 23rd of December...and that is only because we were having family over on Christmas Eve!

My tree is down, but it's still in the living room. All the other decorations are up... Even the hand towels in the guest bathroom.

Oh yes! We were travelling over the holidays and didn't get a tree until New Year's Eve. Plus, my husband always tries to keep the tree up until the first day of spring--one year he almost made it.

Ha ha yes! I hate the thing-- I am sick of the sight of it. I offered my husband $100 to take it down for me. Not that I have $100, mind you!

NO -- only because my kiddos had a "work day" as punishment the other day -- so it's down. Whew. How nice! °Ü° It turned out to be a rather fun work day. I think I'll have them more often.

as a rule it is always down by this date because today is our youngest child's birthday and it is all about him and the miracle that he is today.
amazingly this past holiday the tree(s) came down on December 30 because:
a. i got the entire circus involved in helping to get all the decorations down
b. we were going to be out of town for new year's eve and then i was back to work new year's day through the rest of the week and with added family circus activities i knew if it didn't get done then it never would.
i will confess we still have some christmas gifts sitting in the livingroom for family who couldn't make it this year for the family celebration. so i better get my butt over to the post office and mail it already. thanks for the reminder.

Ours is still up too - we keep ours up until the Octave of the Epiphany!

We let our "wise men" make a journey to the creche, too. The kids like to move them everyday.

Of course, we didn't put it up to begin with until the last Sunday of Advent. The Christmas season actually starts on Christmas and goes through January - the 12 days of Christmas are Dec. 25-Jan. 6.

Ours is still up. I wish I could say that we usually leave it up til the true end of the Christmas season (Baptism of our Lord, this coming Sunday), but we typically take it down after the 12th day of Christmas.

I will be sad to see it go this weekend - I always love how the house looks so festive with the tree and other decorations.

Have fun putting yours away as well.

Yes, mine is down, BUT... When I was 17 my parents started a new tradition for me. I love pink, and ballet so they would decorate the tree all in pink bows for my January birthday. As the years went by, and I did more and more in ballet, I started receiving many ballerina decorations as gifts. About 5 years ago, my husband and I bought a small artificial tree just for all of the pink stuff :). Now, it is covered with pink lights and more ballerinas than you can imagine. It's a fun tradition especially for those whose birthdays come close after Christmas. Also, I had a friend in college whose family had a really special tradition. After Christmas, they would cut off all the branches from the tree, cut the top 1/3 of the trunk off, and lash it across the bottom part of the trunk in a cross. The cross stayed up until Easter. I've always wanted to do it.

Today is 1/14/08 and yes, it's still up. Normally it's taken down on January 7 (after the 12 days of Christmas)...but we've had a lot going on lately. I'm in the process of taking it down today.
