Josh and Hattie - Update
This update is sooner than I thought.
Hattie is at Georgetown Hospital this afternoon for scans. The medical team has determined that they need to surgically remove the tumor immediately as it is on her lung. She has been told that she may come out of surgery minus one lung.
This is hard news - the third tumor they've found and her third unexpected major surgery. The first one took away 3 inches of her spine and replaced it with titanium. The second removed her thyroid gland - replacing the hormone with synthetic thyroid she takes daily.
The surgery will be next Wednesday morning at 7:30 AM. Please pray for her and for Josh as they face this trial. Please pray that God would wrap them in His presence and give them the peace that passes all understanding. Please pray that this would cause them to cleave to one another and to their Heavenly Father - continuing to build a marriage that glorifies God.
It is good to know that so many people will be praying.

My goodness, this feels so sudden. You can count on me. I will pray so much for all of you. May God bring forth something new and beautiful out of all of this pain, uncertainty and difficulty.

I'm keeping them in my thoughts, Barbara. Please update us when you know how Hattie is doing. I dearly hope she gets to keep both of her lungs, that the doctors find all the tumor and remove it, and that she recuperates wonderfully from her surgery and that Josh and Hattie get to move on with a normal, happy life.
