Loudoun County Public Schools closed

No, this isn't the official site for LCPS school closing - this is just the most frequent blogger in Loudoun County - Megamom Barbara Curtis, mother of 12.

But, since you asked, LCPS just released word:

Loudoun County Public Schools are closed today, March 2, 2009

LCPS has withdrawn from the School's Out service (not sure why).  I get word via Loudoun Alert - and you can sign up for text messages and other alert methods there.

And btw, while you're here, feel free to browse around!  Just click the words MommyLife at the top for the most recent post.

Love,

ugh. As much as I am grateful for more time with my kidlets, I wish school had NOT closed. I am home sick and was planning on going back to bed. But instead, we're going to do some lessons. Hope your wrist heals quickly!!

Yep, mine are all home too. It's still coming down here in the Chicago area and I think it is supposed to all day.

You know, I would just like to have a really deep, thorough snow here in Loudoun this winter.

Today is rain with a little ice - not all that spectacular as it is just barely cold enough for some teensy icicles on the trees and slip-sliding on the road.

But the kids are home and I've told them we'll clean the house first, then snuggle in for a movie and popcorn. Gotta make the most of it! Plus that'll help me rest my wrist.
