The fox in my life
We had another ice storm yesterday. The kids had off school and Tripp even stayed home from work and made pancakes for everyone.
When he spotted a fox outside, he told me to grab my camera. I used my telephoto lens and waited a good ten minutes to get a picture where he wasn't hidden in the icy dried grass looking for field mice:
For some reason, I cannot see a fox without thinking of the fox in The Little Prince

- maybe because I didn't grow up in the country and that was the first fox I ever saw. When I see a fox today, I always sense a strong personality. I would love to get a more up-close-and-personal head-on shot. Tripp pointed out where the fox lives - about 150 yards from my office window. Think I'll keep my camera handy as I work - and look out the window more.

Good picture. We have had foxes walk across our backyard in the city (not a big city, mind you), and it has scared me senseless. They look so serene far away like in your picture.
