Best place to fill prescriptions: Target

This is a completely unsolicited endorsement from a megamom with 38 years experience and still bringing up special needs kids who need stuff like Amoxicillin and Augmentin.

I've tried every pharmacy there is in the two towns closest to me. I've never felt any loyalty because none really seemed outstanding.

That is 'til I found Target.

Not only are they friendly and cheap (with the same $4 plan as Walmart for many common drugs), but I LOVE their packaging. They have this really cool system with the best syringe-type dispensers that do not waste a single drop or have the rubber piece fall off inside. And more, their bottles are made with a plastic lid that enables you to slip the syring in, turn the bottle upside down, and then pull the plunger out to dispense the perfect amount of medicine every time.

I have never had a medicine dispenser that was problem-free. This one is.

I also have a VISA card from Target which I use for everything and pay to 0. each month. I would never keep a balance on it because their interest rate is high. However, if you are faithful to just use it this way, the benefit is that they send you can earn 10% off coupons for a whole day. You can also earn a 10% off coupon after using your Target VISA to pay for 10 prescriptions.

And it's pretty Target red.

I really do love Target. When I was growing up, being poor meant having nothing nice - clothes or household stuff - within your grasp. Target has brought good design to the masses and I thank them for that.

Including good design for pharmaceuticals. Way cool.

Our local Walgreens has that same cool syringe and dispenser cap thing. It was very helpful last year when we had a special needs infant with several different medications.

I, too, am a loyal Target Shopper! Their pharmacists are very kind and patient with my 9 million questions.

(I am also a mystery shopper for them. Last year, I shopped them 5-7 times and got a $200 gift card from HQ! I hope they pick me again!!)

I love Target for many, many reasons! But I also wanted to add that in the South, we have a grocery chain called Publix. They have a list of antibiotics that are FREE! Yes, FREE! Amoxicillin is included on that list.

I hate to bring this up but does Target allow its pharmacists the choice of not filling a prescription for "plan B" if this violates their religious beliefs? Plan B is also known as emergency contraception but is really an abortion. This is an issue in Washington state. Not sure about other states.
