Hillary and Obama - inauthentic, deeply flawed candidates
Of course, one wonders why the Mainstream media is suddenly waking up and doing investigative reporting.....
Maybe they just wanted to get the public's mind off the Obama scandal. In case you've been sleeping the past week (I was at Mount Hermon so somewhat out of the loop myself), here is the clip of Obama's pastor of 20 years, Jeremiah Wright:
And here, from a black church in Harlem that supports Hillary, is Pastor Manning:
Obama says we white folk are just not familiar with black church rhetoric. I think we should be grateful to have been made more aware. Lots of hatred out there.
Never mind that slaves won their freedom under a Republican president, that hundreds of thousands of white men gave their lives for that freedom, and that Democrats were the party opposed to desegregation. Never mind that Clarence Thomas and Condoleeza Rice are blacks in high places - they don't count because they are conservative blacks, and if you're conservative it doesn't matter what color your skin is, you're not black.
I like what this YouTube commenter said:
I can't say with confidence the nominee's going to be Obama, but I am wise enough to know this: neither Obama nor Hillary is running on the truth. Mrs. Clinton is not experienced, and Mr. Obama is not a man who can unite us."

What a bunch of you-know-what. It is such a shame that these men are standing behind a pulpit to speak such garbage; that kind of speech and rhetoric belongs to the street, not behind a pulpit and certainly not in the Church.
And you are right: there's a lot of hatred out there.

We actually used Obama's speech in our homeschool study of logical fallacies.
I read the girls parts of his speech, and I asked for the fallacy.
They correctly identified the part where he throws his grandmother under a bus as a red herring. It doesn't matter whether grandma was a racist (which she wasn't), the point is that Jeremiah Wright is a racist, and he is not doing anything about it.
You know what else bothers me about the Obamas? They released their tax returns, and a few years ago, when they were making almost $300,000, they gave $1500 to charity.
I guess that fits with their belief that the government is supposed to help people, not us. But that's pathetic.
Even when they were making a million and a half they only gave $77000 away. That's not even tithing.
I remember being impressed with Bush's charitable giving before he became President. It was over 10%.
Anyway, enough of my soapbox. McCain will be the next President.
