    Noisy Nora
Poor Nora! The loveable mousette experiences all the pangs of the child-in-the- middle, caught between the demands of baby brother and bossiness of big sister. Catchy meter, playful illustrations make for a wonderfully satisfying mouse's tale. Baby-Preschool

Tribute to Dr. Sears and Martha - deadline tomorrow

Just a reminder that if you wanted to include any expression of gratitude - via a comment, blog entry/link or published entry here - to Dr. Sears and Martha, the deadline is today. So far I actually only have two - which I guess is an indication that you all are so busy attachment-parenting that you can't sit down to type it :)

That's okay. I just wanted us to take the opportunity to send a group hug their way.

If you would like to participate, you can read Yvonne's and Greta's and post a link below or email to me.

Thank you, Barbara, for this opportunity to express something to the Sears family ... I met them once at a LLLI conference and remember being just as impressed with their personal warmth as with their courageous, inspiring, and compassionate writing.
Had I not picked up a copy of The Discipline Book during my first pregnancy (after first being exposed to a very different and in my view, misguided, baby-parenting philosophy), I would have headed down a very frustrating path. With three spirited children, it hasn't been easy, but I so appreciate Dr. and Mrs. Sears' willingness to be a different sort of voice in the crowd of American parenting advice, to share their mistakes and successes and lessons with us, and to give us parents permission to listen to our children, follow our hearts, and find our balance.
Thank you, Bill and Martha Sears, for your service to the Lord and to His people, especially to the "least of these!"

I have both "The Discipline Book" and "The Complete Book of Christian Parenting & Child Care". Although I haven't read the whole way through either yet I have found much encouragement and wisdom in their pages. The Sears have both enlightened me about behaviors and methods and reassured me in the things I have been doing right. I wish I had read them BEFORE I had 3 kids instead of fumbling along and then discovering them part way down the road. Better late than never!
Keep up the great work Sears!!!
