My birthday - unbelievably 60

60.jpg

I can hardly believe that I have lived this many years. But everything I could say sounds trite. I guess the important thing is that I still feel like I'm young - which is good, since I still have six kids at home to finish raising. Well, five after Sophia goes to college next year.

It's Memorial Day too, so most of the family will be here. Tripp is making spareribs. The sun is shining.

Tomorrow I am off to Kansas City on assignment. Will share more about that when I return.

I'm not one to ask for birthday presents, but in case anyone is so inclinedsmiley.jpg - and if you've read any of my bookssmiley.jpg - please rate them and/or leave reviews at Amazon. It's simple and you don't have to write the great American novel. Something short and sweet is nice too. Especially sweet smiley.jpg

And just remember, this will happen to you someday too. So live well smiley.jpg

Love,

How long are you in KC? Are you speaking anywhere? I would love to meet you sometime. I do not post often, but read your blog daily. You have gotten me through the last few years after leaving an abusive church. Would love to get a chance to visit.

Hi Becky -

My visit is very short and crammed full of interviews (me interviewing people for an article assignment). But everything is in a state of flux and I may end up staying longer than I planned. Please email me your phone number and I will try to call if we can get together for coffee.

I am staying in Olathe but will be going to Topeka too.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, BARBARA!!!

I pray that your 61st year will be blessed with joy, good health, and peace as you continue on.

Could you ever have imagined so many years ago that Jeremiah 29:11 would be fleshed out in your life in such a remarkable way?!

Many blessings to you and thank for the blessing that you are to so many of us.
