Steven Curtis Chapman has lost a daughter

Singer Steven Curtis Chapman's daughter is struck, killed by carSteven Curtis Chapman's youngest child died Wednesday evening after being struck by a car driven by her teenage brother in the driveway of the family's Williamson County home.
Maria, one of the Christian singer's six children, was taken by LifeFlight to Vanderbilt Hospital, which confirmed the death, according to Laura McPherson, a spokeswoman for the Tennessee Highway Patrol.
The 5-year-old was hit by an SUV driven by her teenage brother, she said. Police did not give the driver's name.
The teen was driving a Toyota Land Cruiser down the driveway of the rural home about 5:30 p.m. and several children were playing in the area, McPherson said. He did not see Maria in the driveway before the vehicle struck her, she said.

Our hearts go out to the entire family, whose word and generosity in the field of adoption has been an example to so many.
Please pray for each member of this family, that they will experience the peace that passes all understanding. And that this terrible tragedy will be used for good as God promises us:
And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. ~Romans 8:28~
I don't mean that in a trite way. I'm only reminding us because we have seen in our own lives how this is always true.
Let's pray all day for this family. And hold each other tighter. We never know what we will lose some day, or what we may be asked to forgive.
The Lord gave, and the Lord hath taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord.
~Job 1:21~

Barbara,
This is such a sad and tragic event--one that will forever change the lives of all the Chapmans and those who love them.
I'll be praying for them and trusting God to gently walk them through this.

Barbara- I have been grieving with the family all morning............
Your scripture was comforting.......
As I mentioned on your blog yesterday, I just lost a cousin in the prime of his life, and it was so shocking. God has been driving home the point that life is so precious. Steven Curtis Chapman knows this- he wrote " The miracle of the moment" and " cinderella".
Thanks for your scripture, and your words, Barbara.
Praying

I am certainly praying for the Chapman family...what a difficult situation!
There is one positive thing that has come to my mind...because the Chapman family is so "public", there are countless numbers of people supporting them in prayer. That is a comforting thought.
