Five things that might surprise you about me
*I have not one, but three tattoos (circa 1970 or so).
*I am terrified of roller coasters and ferris wheels.
*I don’t like gardening or sushi. I've tried gardening and may give it another try someday. But the idea of sushi makes my stomach turn.
*I’ve lived in 20 different places, scattered through 12 states.
*I’ve interviewed Chuck Colson and been interviewed by James Dobson.

A while ago my son made "sushi" for the little kids of the family. He used turkey breast (and hotdog slivers) instead of fish and carrots and celery for the veggies and used romaine leaves for the wrapper. The kids helped and they thought he was the coolest guy at the picnic.

And while this isn't about me, you may be surprised to learn that my husband had shoulder length dreadlocks for years! (Before I knew him.) I about died when he told me - he's such a straight laced, conservative, traditional guy. I didn't believe it until he showed me pictures!

I just did a Meme on Me and this was part of it. Here they are:
(1) I had a belly ring - had to take it out when I was 5 months pregnant with my older son (ouch!). (2) My dad was a prison guard my entire childhood - he used to tell me I could have any job in the world but his (I love you, Dad). (3) I named my first dog Shag because he reminded me of our new shag carpeting. (4) My husband was really rude to me when we first met and, since I was 19 at the time, I thought that was just so cute. He stopped that really quickly - it was all an act. :) (5) I really wanted to be an archaeologist for a long time - through college, even.

Okay five about me:
* I love motorcycles and plan on getting one soon
* I dreamed of being a pediatrician
* I studied 4 classical languages in highschool (although I cannot remember much from them LOL)
* I have always wanted to paint but never started up
* I am terribly afraid of the dark!
