    The Little Red Hen
Hooray for a good work ethic! The little red hen asks but receives no help in her efforts to put bread on the table. Yet all who wouldn't help would like to eat. In a refreshingly old-fashioned triumph of moral consequences, they don't get to!

Maggie's mom: Maggie's smiling!

Remember Maggie - the newborn with Down syndrome we've been praying for? Here's the latest from her mom:

Chris%20and%20Maggie.jpg

Hello again! Just wanted to stop in and say hello.

Maggie recovered so beautifully. She is now 8lbs 2oz at 2 1/2 months. It is amazing what the surgery did for her. She is starting to grab at things and smile. The doctor visits have slowed down and things are starting to calm down a bit ... at least for now. She is sleeping through the night and eating well.

My other two kids are soo good with her. My daughter changed her first diaper the other day ... I had to help her ... but she was soo proud. My son says he has the trick to calm her down ... this little piggy. Its too cute. I tried to explain things to them and they tell me they love her and are gonna be the best big brother and sister ever. Thank you and thank all who comment. It means a lot to know someone is there.

Love,
