Mozart - Concerto for harp and flute - treat yourself and your children
Moms, you have a wonderful resource for creating a serene and gentle atmosphere in your home: classical music.
I've specifically mentioned the harp as an instrument that will bring out the peaceful nature of your children. If you don't know much about classical music, it's never too late to learn. I grew up in a home with only country music and black velvet paintings. But as an adult I wanted to learn more - and especially as a parent.
Maria Montessori said we can give the world to our children - meaning that the things they appreciate as they grow up is only limited to what our own limits are. So one of the joys for me as a parent has always been trying to learn and grow so that I could expand my children's world. Today my grown-up kids love all kinds of music and are curious about learning more.
This kind of shared learning has brought us all closer together.
Here is a beautiful piece accompanied by period art:
W.A. Mozart - Concerto per arpa e flauto, K.299 - Andantino
