Paris Hilton responds to McCain ad

Ben Smith's (Politico)update:

UPDATE: Obama spokesman Bill Burton reacts: "Whatever."

UPDATE: McCain spokesman Tucker Bounds emails: "It sounds like Paris Hilton supports John McCain's 'all of the above' approach to America's energy crisis - including both alternatives and drilling. Paris Hilton might not be as big a celebrity as Barack Obama, but she obviously has a better energy plan."

Ha! Love that comment:

I saw this today and it made me sit and think at how much time is spent on bashing the candidates and not enough focused on the issues.

I have to be honest that I have heard bashing from McCain and propaganda from Obama. I know less about each candidate than I do about my great great great grandparents!

I have looked and tried to do some research but each thing I read is confusing and contradictory to the other thing that makes it difficult to chose a side.

I do not agree with alot of things that both candidates say and I agree with some that they do say - how can we made a decision when we are faced with such bashing and media hype - when are we going to actually hear the truth and the ways in which things are thought to be done.

Thanks for the Soap Box Barbara!

Stop watching TV. Start reading blogs. The info is out there if you're willing to look.

Amy - thanks - the hard thing is that on many blogs, it is the opinions of others, not straight from the candidates themselves.

There is even bashing on the blogs which makes it even more difficult. Trust me - I watch limited amounts of TV because I am finding that everything on it is done at a slant or with an angle.

The newspapers seem to be the worst though!!!

That goes without saying since blogs are set up by people with opinions who want to disseminate them. What I like about it is that they are upfront and honest about where they are coming from.

Obama and McCain both have their own websites, so you might want to try those. Straight from the horse's mouth, so to speak. ;)
