Sarah Palin as VP?

sarah-palin-1.jpgMurmurs that Sarah Palin will be McCain's VP pick.

Hoping and praying - this would certainly hit a home run with me!

We've talked about her here before:

Alaska governor welcomes fifth child - with Down syndrome

Sarah Palin: Alaska governor and mother of baby with Down syndrome - more news

Governor Palin's choice: keeping her baby with Down syndrome

Palin also has a son who at 18 years old joined the Army on September 11, 2007.

She has a demonstrated history of disinterest in the trappings of power.

I am so excited!!!!

Is it too early to jump for joy?

I just heard the news confirming Senator McCain's choice for V.P. I'm thrilled!!!

I'm jumping for joy with you. I think it's an incredibly fresh, hopeful, and exciting pick for a campaign that needs some life breathed into it.

Obama's pick highlighted his own lack of experience and his need for the "old guard"... McCain's pick highlights his willingness to do out-of-the-ordinary things, and the fact that he doesn't need anyone's experience to make up for something he lacks. Not to mention the fact that she is, on her own, an interesting woman.

This campaign just got a good shake up.

For the first time I'm actually a little excited about this election instead of facing it with impending doom! :)

I am so excited about this. I'll be jumping for joy with you!

I cried when I got up this AM and heard it on the cable news.

Does Palin share McCain's support of federal funding for fetal stem cell research and legalized abortion in the case of rape?

I've been searching but I can't find her position on these issues... can anyone help?

I watched Obama's speech last night and he really is good. He may not say a whole lot as to specifics about policy, but he knows how to work a crowd and say all the "right" things people want to hear. I was wondering how in the world McCain could possibly garner this much attention and excitement....and here it is!

I'm super excited just based on the few things I've heard of her so far.

We're celebrating today! I think this will provide many opportunities (photo ops, articles) for people to see what joy comes to the family who is blessed with a child with Ds.

I don't think is too early to jump1

I'M JUMPING TOO!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah!

I am so hyped!! I can't even vote here in the US, but Will is an American and this ticket could be the most profoundly life changing administration of his life. Nothing could raise the esteem of people with DS higher than that of little Trigg coming to Washington. I'm off to order my bumper sticker!!

I read the news backwards -- seeing your most recent post first -- and I kept thinking, "Palin? Is that... isn't she the governor of Alaska? The one who recently had a baby with DS?"

I can't watch videos on this computer (they distract and attract ALL the children), but I finally got down to this post and yes! It's her! What an amazing choice!

I was very excited to hear about McCain's decision and felt very hopeful after hearing Palin speak. But now I am jumping for joy .....just finding out that Sarah also has a child with D.S. This will definitely make the election more personable for my family. I WANT MY BUMPER STICKER NOW!
