Win a free subscription to World magazine
World magazine recently - well, maybe a year ago :) - added a photo feature to its Mailbag section, inviting readers to send in pictures of World being read around the world.
A few weeks ago, I took some shots of Jonny, Jesse, Daniel and Justin - our four sons with Down syndrome (1 by birth, 3 by adoption) - reading a copy of the January 18, 1997 issue of World, with a lead article on Down syndrome/prenatal testing/abortion. On the cover was a picture I took in our backyard in Novato, California of Jonny (then 4), Jesse (18 months) and Daniel (6 months). Of course, we had no idea then that in 2001 Justin would be added to the mix - a perfect exclamation point to our 12 children

I've been a World subscriber for around 20 years (I also wrote for them for a spell). I count on World for excellent news coverage and music/movie/book reviews from a Christian perspective - plus compelling writing.
I'm guessing lots of my readers subscribe to World - but for anyone who'd like to give it a try, World has thanked our family for the picture by giving us three six-month gift subscriptions.

I would love a subscription to World. It is rare to find news from a Christian-friendly worldview.
I also wanted to comment that I also enjoyed A Girl Named Zippy and She Got Up Off the Couch. I loved the way that Kimmel writes about her dysfunctional family in such a hopeful way and without an expose feel to it.

Barbara- The photo was heartwarming! Loved it! We subscribe to the kid's version of WORLD and love it. My 5 and 7 year olds really love the articles. It's called " God's world News". As much as we love the kid's version, we do not get WORLD magazine, and I'd love to be included in the drawing.

We read World's news publications for students all through our growing up years. I've read World on and off as an adult and love their thorough news coverage from a Christian World view. I'd love to get a subscription!

I haven't read WORLD in a long time (since college days!), but I think my husband would really enjoy it as would I. He didn't grow up in a Christian home and is just learning to think through all issues from a Christian wolrdview. Thank you for this chance to win! :-)
