    The Little Red Hen
Hooray for a good work ethic! The little red hen asks but receives no help in her efforts to put bread on the table. Yet all who wouldn't help would like to eat. In a refreshingly old-fashioned triumph of moral consequences, they don't get to!
  • Noisy Nora
    Noisy Nora
Poor Nora! The loveable mousette experiences all the pangs of the child-in-the- middle, caught between the demands of baby brother and bossiness of big sister. Catchy meter, playful illustrations make for a wonderfully satisfying mouse's tale. Baby-Preschool

World subscriptions - 52 winners!

IMG_0262.JPG

Isn't this amazing?

When I told the folks at World how excited everyone here was about the drawing for the gift subscriptions, they must have come over and read the comments.

In addition to the three six-month subscriptions they'd given me to pass on, they have also generously decided to give the other 49 people who left comments here free two-month subscriptions.

I have been so excited since they told me, but wanted to wait until today to surprise you all.

The winners of the six-month subscriptions - drawn at random - are:

Julia - comment 8/6 at 10:41
Rachel - comment 8/6 at 2:08
Krystal - comment 8/6 at 4:27.

But since everyone is a winner, I will need you to send me your name and address to pass on to World to begin your subscriptions.

I am so excited about this because World is truly a great magazine. I used to get Time and Newsweek also, but would get so irritated with the obvious bias and downright snarky attitude that I just quit them altogether.

World is well-rounded and offers some great international reporting, balanced national coverage, thoughtful reviews and cultural commentary. I think many of you will find you like it enough to continue it after your free subscription. In our family, everyone scrambles to be the first one to grab it when it arrives. And we read cover to cover. It's that good.

So enjoy!!! God certainly was smiling on us all this week :) Just email me your addresses and I'll pass them on.

Will write soon about my experience lately as Florence Nightingale for Jonny.

Love,

That is so great! I've been getting WORLD for a long time ( so I didn't enter the contest) and I love it! And I saw the picture of the boys. So cool!

I can't believe it! I really never win anything. I get to be on the computer for about 30 minutes a day during nap time. And try to come here daily for Mommy Encouragement. And now as we get ready to start our first year of homeschooling, I win World magazine. What a great addition to our learning!
