McCain more bipartisan - Obama getting desperate
From the Washington Times:
Records show McCain more bipartisan

Sen. John McCain's record of working with Democrats easily outstrips Sen. Barack Obama's efforts with Republicans, according to an analysis by The Washington Times of their legislative records.
Whether looking at bills they have led on or bills they have signed onto, Mr. McCain has reached across the aisle far more frequently and with more members than Mr. Obama since the latter came to the Senate in 2005.
In fact, by several measures, Mr. McCain has been more likely to team up with Democrats than with members of his own party. Democrats made up 55 percent of his political partners over the last two Congresses, including on the tough issues of campaign finance and global warming. For Mr. Obama, Republicans were only 13 percent of his co-sponsors during his time in the Senate, and he had his biggest bipartisan successes on noncontroversial measures, such as issuing a postage stamp in honor of civil rights icon Rosa Parks.

Funny how Obama attacks McCain for attacking him rather than dealing with any issues at all. He accuses McCain of "silliness" even as he approves an ad denigrating McCain because he isn't Internet savvy. No matter that McCain can't use a keyboard because of his war injuries - or that Clinton reportedly only sent two emails during eight years in office.
A refreshing interview where Obama gets a tough question - and responds with a verbal gaffe saying he is the worst offender in the ad campaign - this one isn't getting much play in the media :)
Obama's latest ad is a compilation of quotes about how terrible McCain is - and doesn't address a single issue. See New Obama ad questions McCain's honor.
This from the guy who's claiming the moral high ground. Oh, and for some MSM-overlooked Obama double-dealing see OBAMA TRIED TO STALL GIS' IRAQ WITHDRAWAL. Seems Obama's overseas photo-op junket was also used to try to influence at least one other country to surrender itself to his orbit.
There is a definite lack of integrity here, and an overriding desperation which all but the truest belieivers (in Obama) are not blind to.
I think Palin's appeal is based on the fact that she doesn't become petulant or whiny in spite of ALL the attacks on her and her family. She treats it rather as Reagan used to - just taking her message straight to the people and ignoring the media and the opposition's indignities.
I believe most people like that. Like the trashing by celebrities and the bias of the media, I think these over-the-top and very hypocritical ads are going to backfire bigtime. I can only hope they keep up the momentum.

I dunno. Rove admitting that McCain had been resorting to lies/half-truths/etc. on Fox spoke volumes to me.

The bias in the media is getting SOOOO OBVIOUS! This evening on CNN Election Center, they showed the Saturday Night live spoof of Sarah Palin and H. Clinton. How is that news? The anchor lady, I forget her name (I used to like her!), announced it upcoming after the commercial and she said it in such a way that it sure seemed like she thought it was really funny. Another smear for Palin. I turned it off. Julie c.m.
