Men: why they like Sarah Palin
Dear Barbara,Thank you for your article "Palin can have it all". For 8 years, I was a single dad with 1/2 time custody of my little girl starting from 10mos of age. I have developed an appreciation, respect and devotion to the equal rights movement. I am appalled that Palin who is "the real deal" has been attacked by, so called, liberated women. She is EVERYTHING that womens' suffrage is/was about. She is beautiful, intelligent, educated, a mother, and is successfully competing in "a mans' world". How wonderful.
I am an old fashioned, tough and rumble kinda guy, but have moved into the modern ideals of family. I am just overwhelmed to see a woman with the honor, integrity, and the motivation Sarah Palin has. She has earned her place, and that is respectable. Why are these other women attacking her? I have an idea.
These are not the kind of women who value honor, integrity, hard work and motivation. These were the ideals that the founders of women's rights held so dear. These other women want control and power, not equality. They want responsibility when they want it, only to shed responsibility when it is convenient. As a single dad, I met these kind of women and ran the other way. They were women who would preach the ideals of equality when it got them their way, then they would demand traditional values when it made life easier. To be quite honest, it was horrible to be a single dad and have to deal with this duality. How could this duality, which we now see in these cynics, promote respect. Respect is earned. It is earned by believing and holding steadfast to your beliefs. Sarah Palin is consistent. She has proven by action and deed, that she! deserves respect.
I believe it will take a respectful person to rebuild the declining moral values of our great country. I believe that is the basis for our current woes. I believe most people feel the same way. Too many years of indifference and self-centeredness have created our situations. We need to move our country forward, and steer from our current course. I would love to see a woman be a part of the leadership, that moves our country forward. What could be a better way to put an exclamation point to a new era, than having a woman representative of the century old movement be at the right hand of it.
In conclusion, I hope the true founders of equal rights step forward. It is these ethical women that need to stand up and be heard. Moms and Grandmas have been quietly talking about their sons and grandsons being taken advantage of. I believe it is empowered, ethical women who will improve families, slow divorce rates and secure equality by standing up against the frauds of suffrage. We need their help.
Thanks for your article and best wishes.
-Daniel
This morning Alison wondered why all of a sudden men were popping up at Mommy Life.
While I do think MommyLife has had a small number of male readers all along, there has been a lot of interest generated by my article in the Christian Science Monitor - Sarah Palin Can Have It All - which was picked up by Yahoo.com: Sarah Palin can have it all.
I have been getting lots of email from men - including messages like Daniel's comment reposted above - and bitter, scathing stuff from anti-Palin men who are not hesitant to hurl epithets at women in general.
I'm telling you, these Democrat/liberal men have never truly respected women. They've ridden the abortion issue like Bill Clinton - for their own gain. (he First Wave Feminists were dead set against abortion, btw - will link later, but gotta run now)
Anyway, I would love to hear from men who like Sarah Palin. Please leave your comments - and also tell us how long you've been reading MommyLife or what brought you here recently.

What a change up from so many years of hearing about disengaged or absent dads. Here are dads who really do what their daughters to grow up to be strong and bold and actually "have it all". Dads who know that ladies who always want it "easy" lose out on some great character building opportunities, and it is the strong attributes of character that moms need to pass on to their daughters, not the escape hatch of convenience and ease.
A shout out to all the great dads!!
Thanks for this post.

I am a man who likes Sarah Palin (and anyone who loves children!)
Sarah Palin loves her Down syndrome child and the whole family surrounds the child with love and the child radiates that love--making this a better world.
I think when we affirm life, it affects other things that we do.
I wasn't going to vote until I saw Sarah Palin. She has inspired me and renewed my hopes. She will get my vote. (McCain gets my vote for introducing her to the rest of the US and the world. No matter the outcome of the election, he has made the world a better place)
Blessings

Bravo! My first time on Mommielife, due to reading your great article on Sarah Palin. Like your last respondee, I was also a single dad for many years. I have also met a lot of PC-sounding men who gave lipservice to women's rights but showed their true colors in the way they treated (used)women. Bravo to you and to Sarah!

Good to see that our website is getting out there. Gov. Palin is a dynamic American woman who can lead us out of this mess. She proves that a woman can be feminine, successful and strong, all at the same time. Go Sarah!

This is Great to finally find a place to read positive feedback on Sarah Palin. I agree Although I am not a dad I am a single man looking for a woman who shares the same characteristics and not having a whole lotta luck. She has proven that she is a woman who is feminine, successful, strong, selfless, generous noble, considerate, honorable, moral, trustworthy, ectIn my opinion she is truly a Virtuous Woman(Prov.31:30).I would love to see more women aspiring to Sarah rather than the pure Filth we see on television these days.I think Gov. Sarah Palin is exactly what this country needs as Vice President and quite possibly President. Regardless She has a very bright future ahead. Thank You for inspiring me Sarah.
