You're going to be surprised at the history leading up to this debacle - and at the media cover-up. When it comes to corruption, graft and scandal, Republicans get exposed and step down. Democrats get protection and more consolidated power.

My heart is breaking for my country! So many people are at risk of losing everything. It is going to be painful. I hope that with the loss comes an education that will not be forgotten for generations and that this generation will discover a freedom from debt and greed.
Our grandparents endured such losses and became a great generation.

While I keep reminding myself "this too will pass" I am shocked and disheartened at what has become of government. We are closer to an aristocracy than a democracy. We are all being ruled by a bunch of elitist that manipulate the system to benefit themselves and fool us "little" people.
