Boomers' memory test

Tripp sent me this a couple months ago (yes, I'm cleaning out my Inbox - going back to July). He claims to have scored 19. I find that hard to believe - after all, he's seven years younger than I am.

No peeking at the answers until you're finished. And be sure to leave your score!

This is NOT a pushover test. There are 20 questions. Average score is 12. It will help if you are over 60! This one will be difficult for the younger set. Have fun, but no peeking! When you forward this to your friends/family, put your score in the subject line & let them know your score. Don't forget to forward it to me, as well. Good luck youngsters.

I feel old now. I got them all (I'm 45). I am going to blame it on watching syndicated TV as a teen!

I got 18 right. Missed 4 and 6. That was fun, thanks Barbara!

Oh, I feel sooo old. I got 19 right, I also missed #4. I am 39 and I guess I will also blame it on syndicated tv. That was fun.

That was fun! I got 17 correct - missed the two that involved TV (I have never liked TV, even as a child). And missed the one about Bob Dylan - as soon as I saw the answer I remembered it was 30, but I had answered 40.

17 correct but I really couldn't remember the little dab if the littlt bad was for hair cream or chewing tobacco. Nearly half of our video collection is old-time shows & the commercials.

Got 'em all (I'm 57), but I was really glad they were multiple choice! ;-D

18

I got 17 right. I missed 1, 2, and 4.

Does that mean I'm old? I'm only 26! ;-)

That was a fun test, thanks for posting it.

I am 29 and only missed 1! I didn't know number 11. I think this means I watch too much TV! HA!

I don't think you have to be a Boomer - I got 18 right and I was born in 1970. :)

I got 18. I think it is all the "quality" TV shows that I used to watch with my Dad. I have seen Tokyo destroyed over 20 times. That was fun.

I got 16. Must have spent a lot of time with my parents (both of them in their 60s now)--and they both liked to sing jingles. Actually, I can hear most of those in my Dad's voice! Fun!

Fun quiz. I got 18 of 19. I threw out #11, which is an urban legend. Here's the background: http://query.nytimes.com/gst/fullpage.html?res=940DE3DC163FF933A2575BC0A96E948260.

Well, I seem to have got the fewest so far -- I'm 27 and only got 15 right. Hey, that's a solid C, right?
