That's my Maddy - just having fun last spring. How I hope she never loses her joy, spontaneity and imagination!

Maddy is competing tomorrow in the Virginia Icon singing competition in Richmond. I have been so caught up in the multitude of family situations - kind of like my own private soap opera - that I am living day be day and haven't mentioned it advance.

But I can hear her practicing in the next room. She'll be singing "On My Own" from Les Miz and she sounds great - you'd never even know she still has the last remnants of bronchitis. A true pro. Music uber alles!

Will take pictures and let you know how it went.

Love,

How darling! I have a son just like Maddy - he has always been dressing up at some sort of character or another. Often also dressing up his little siblings and having them be part of his crazy (and funny) acts. Last year he won a 60 % theater scholarship and is doing well there this fall.

Let us know how Maddy does today in the competition. I would love to hear her sing!!!
