Please pray for Tripp - urgent
I am just leaving to meet the women at Our Lady of Hope to talk about motherhood.
But just checked in with Tripp - who is still in the extended care facility where we visit every day and where he seemed stabilized and we were hoping his post-op infection would clear enough to bring him home soon.
I am so worried as last night for the first time he spiked a high fever. This is a really serious development. The doctors said after the second surgery that if they couldn't beat the infection, they would have to open up his knee and take the knee replacement out and he would be immobile for at least six weeks while they take even more drastic measures to fight the infection.
Please, please pray for Tripp today. I am going to go ahead and meet these moms and then go over there. Please pray that God will turn this infection around and Tripp can heal and be back on his feet soon. The kids and I really need him.

Hi Barbara,
I just prayed for you and Tripp. My husband just got out of the hospital last week from a very bad leg break which involved surgery to insert two plates and 11 pins under the knee. After the surgery, he had similar fever spikes which docs determined to be caused by a blood clot in his leg from the inactivity. I'm sure your docs have looked into this, but I just felt compelled to add this just in case. God bless. I will continue to pray.

Father, I ask in the name of your son, Jesus, please come and heal Tripp today. Surround him with protection, keep him from harm, "hem him in behind and before, lay your hand upon him," remove this fever and all infection from his body!
Praying for you today too, Barbara, much grace and strength to you as you reach out to minister to others and care for your son.

Barbara,
We will be praying today. We will offer our Angelus for Tripp today and he will be lifted up in the Family Rosary. We are also praying for you and the family. I know how scary it is to have your spouse go through a health crisis.
God is holding him close, and his Guardian Angel is standing right there beside him.
Can we email him where he is?
Do you have an address that you don't mind sharing so that we can send cards to him?

Barbara,
Prayers going up now. As an orthopedic nurse pre-mommyhood, I just wanted to say that it's good that the docs are staying on top of the situation and are willing to treat aggressively if needed. While it's a frightening time and I truly hope no further surgery is needed, should it come to that, it can prevent bone loss and longer-term problems.
