    The Little Red Hen
Hooray for a good work ethic! The little red hen asks but receives no help in her efforts to put bread on the table. Yet all who wouldn't help would like to eat. In a refreshingly old-fashioned triumph of moral consequences, they don't get to!

    Noisy Nora
Poor Nora! The loveable mousette experiences all the pangs of the child-in-the- middle, caught between the demands of baby brother and bossiness of big sister. Catchy meter, playful illustrations make for a wonderfully satisfying mouse's tale. Baby-Preschool

Help is on the way

Barbara,

Like so many others, I am praying for you. Have been looking for opportunities to bless those around me since I can't run next door to your house and take care of you and your family. May the Lord fill you with hope and strength...and perfect peace. Much love!

Jenny

Jenny left this as a comment, but it really brightened my outlook! Jenny lives 3000 miles from me, but it blesses me to know that someone in California will be helped or supported today because Jenny thought of expressing her love this way.

Thanks so much, Jenny.

I know I've always thought I was too busy to help others - except maybe driving kids here and there for them - but after this I'm going to stretch a little more.

My parish has over 6000 people in it and because of all the stuff we've been through - move, Jonny's health issues and now Tripp's - since we joined, I hadn't connected with the core. But thanks to Elizabeth Foss, who lives a couple counties from me but seems to know people everywhere, I am now and Help Is On the Way.

I am very relieved. Thank you so much - your prayers are helping in tangible ways like this.

Love,

It's so good to hear that help is on the way; I feel so powerless, wanting to help you, but being so far away.
I'm praying for you; for peace and for provision, for strength and for joy in the midst of the storm.

Hi Barbara-
Hang in there! My husband has been disabled for the last ten years. His right leg can no longer bend and is in alot of pain ( he has a degenerative neurological disease). Our son has special needs (cerebral palsy). It can be very hard at times but we still have many good times. If your husband is unable to get another knee replacement and has to have a fusion he will still be able to do lots of things. We still live in a house with stairs even.

I am so glad to hear you are getting some support from others. I wish I were down the street too-I would send a casserole over (as many in the past have done for us). All I can send is some moral support.

Anyway you are never alone and please know people do care-even if they are in another country (I am in Canada). I too have felt many of the things you have described in recent posts.Things do get better eventually. They did for us. Some days I felt really discouraged.

Please good care of yourself-one thing I have learned-so that you can help the rest.

Take Care-
Sending prayers your way-

Jennifer
