Obama's dangerous connections - Thou Shalt Not Mention

phillipsblog-header.gif

You have to pinch yourself - a Marxisant radical who all his life has been mentored by, sat at the feet of, worshipped with, befriended, endorsed the philosophy of, funded and been in turn funded, politically promoted and supported by a nexus comprising black power anti-white racists, Jew-haters, revolutionary Marxists, unrepentant former terrorists and Chicago mobsters, is on the verge of becoming President of the United States. And apparently it's considered impolite to say so.

Melanie Phillips writes for The Spectator (UK). This quote from her October 14 article The Pinch. Access all her columns here.

An informed electorate is an empowered electorate!

Yay! I'm so glad you have discovered Melanie Phillips. she's a bit of a lone voice here but she's extremely sharp and a very free thinker. Years ago she wrote a great book about the state of education in the UK called 'All must win prizes' It had a huge impact on my thinking about the received wisdom regarding education and late 20th century culture in general.
Her blog, along with yours, is in my bookmarks and I visit frequently. Like you, her background is left leaning liberal. She used to write for a leftish social journal called New Society. The left seem to despise her now for repudiating much of their values. She is intense and relentless and an extremely good writer. Happily she appears to shrug off the sneers and catty comments.
