Obama ducks question on Blagojevich/Emanuel

He sure is looking less Messiah-like these days. He looks tired already and not quite up to the job. But still condescending and arrogant.

Can you imagine if a scandal of this magnitude had erupted during the transition of a Republican president-elect?

What happened to change we can believe in? I was ready to accept America's choice and give him the benefit of a doubt. And I've held my tongue for six weeks, but so far it's not looking good at all.

Let's keep turning our hearts to home and family while keeping an eye on political developments. Wise as serpents, meek as doves.

"Can you imagine if a scandal of this magnitude had erupted during the transition of a Republican president-elect?"

I'm not sure what you mean by that, to be honest. If you read the indictment of Blagojevich, it is evident how mad Blagojevich was at Obama from not "playing ball" with him on the sale of his senate seat. We'll have to wait for the facts to come out (which I think is all Obama was trying to say in that press conference anyway), but at this point, the indictment appears to exculpate Obama fairly clearly in my mind.

I just ordered one of your books and was checking out your blog for the first time today. Overall, I think there is a lot of positive stuff here that I can learn from, and I'm sure you and I have much we could agree on, so for that reason I am sorry to have my first comment here be a somewhat negative one, but I was struck by this post and felt that I had to speak up my two cents worth for the other side of the story, so to speak.

Thanks.
