Blogs for Life 2009
A wonderful day. Spoke to a MOPS group in Springfield this morning and met so many wonderful moms. Then drove home, packed and Tripp and I picked up Maddy after her exams so he could drop us off at the Metro station for our big trip to DC for all the pro-life activities.
I snapped these as we rolled our suitcases past the courthouses on the way to the hotel:

DC is filled with biblical and classical references - there is much to be proud of in our Nation's Capitol. I remember as a little girl riding buses and exploring my hometown - one advantage of not having adequate supervision :) I do so love it here.
Tomorrow morning Maddy and I will be leaving early for Blogs4Life, where I the winners of the Pro-Life Blogs will be announced. It will be streamed live here.
Then Mass, then the March for Life - where I will be taking lots of pictures.

You might want to check out HotAir.com. There's a new post up under Hot Picks that's entitled "Obama to sign EO authorizing aid money for abortions today". The author Ed Morissey brings up a great point about the fact that we're in such dire straits economically and now he wants Americans to pay for abortions overseas? Horrible!!!!

The top of the Washington Monument says: "Laus Deo", which means "Praise be to God". I just learned this from one of those highly circulated e-mails =)
