Dads and daughters - five great ideas

IMG_1476.JPGTripp sent me this - from Fathers.com

ACTION POINTS for Committed Dads

● Be active yourself! Modeling is one of the best ways to help your kids have a healthy lifestyle. (Is it time to renew any New Year's resolutions?)

● Plan a one-on-one father-daughter date during the next two weeks to celebrate Valentine's Day.

● Teach your daughter a skill that some may not associate with girls, but that will come in handy for her―like a car or home maintenance task, or how to find help fixing something if she can't do it.

● Without pushing her too hard, work with your daughter on a specific skill that will help her improve in a particular sport. Do the same with your son.

● Surprise your daughter and do something with her that she enjoys, even if you don't enjoy it or don't think it's "manly": shopping, playing with dolls, dancing, etc.

Love,
