Loudoun County Public Schools closed?
No, this isn't the official site for LCPS school closing - this is just the most frequent blogger in Loudoun County - Megamom Barbara Curtis, mother of 12.
But, since you asked, LCPS has informed school bus drivers that they will not decide until 5:00 AM 12/17 whether schools will be open, closed, or opening late
I know. It's pretty inconsiderate to have to wait until tomorrow morning to find out if you can sleep in or not.
LCPS has withdrawn from the School's Out service (not sure why). I get word via Loudoun Alert - and you can sign up for text messages and other alert methods there.

Just had to comment, as I'm up after making calls for our PTO phone chain (for me, there's no going back to bed after that!) We're in NJ and my kids are going to be thrilled to have a snow day.
I also found out this morning that today was the trial run of a district-wide automated call system for closings, delayed openings, etc...I'm going to be out of a job! ;)
