16 degrees this morning, 56 tomorrow

Okay, so I'm not going to break out the summer clothes, but let me tell you I will be glad to have a warmer house to live in for a while. While I love, love, love our house, it is impossible to keep it warm and have enough money left to buy food.

I was telling Tripp last night as he snuggled in his hospital bed - that's right, he's still across the room - and I deposited my chilled body under the enormous mound of comforters I've built on my side of our bed that going to bed has become one of my favorite times of the day as I finally get warm while reading myself to sleep.

And maybe tomorrow I'll celebrate by opening all the blinds, which have been shut in a feeble attempt to keep the cold out.

As my kids would say, It's all good :)

Love,

Barbara,
It's not all good.
I hear that line, too.
It's all redeemable.

I'm also glad it's warmed up. That was a long cold spell.

It's been cold here too, though not much below freezing at night. We live in a very thin walled trailer, and today's temps in the 70's have been heavenly. I put the kids all in shorts and sent them outside for some much needed Vitamin D!

I'm enjoying your blog!

A trick I do: I bring down the thermostat to below where we are going set it for a day or two. Then bring it back up. Makes us feel less deprived.
