ELF cosmetics

I am very sorry but I've learned that the ELF cosmetic thing is a hoax, according to Snopes.

I guess the hoax part is that it has anything to do with Nordstrom's. Since I ordered $9 worth of stuff I guess it really exists but just must be cheap cosmetics. I received a confirmation email and after I write this, I am going to try to cancel my order.

I went out this evening and while I was gone several people let me know it was a hoax and several people let me know they'd ordered.

I am sorry for spreading this - I always research stuff carefully, but this caught me off guard.

Love,

I was about to order a few makeup items but then when I clicked to pay w/ Paypal it asked me for my login and password for Paypal -but it was not on a secure site, so I didn't do it. You might want to check that if you used paypal to pay for it...?

Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgh!

Learned a lesson. (I only spent $10 so that's not too bad)

I spent $42, but $20 is eye make up remover pads...I did a little research and found this info. from the BBB:
http://newjersey.bbb.org/WWWRoot/Report.aspx?site=89&bbb=0221&firm=15001243

Overall, it does not look like there is anything " shady" about this company...( I got a little nervous that I had given them my credit card info... but according to this report, it is probably OK... and my credit card company verified that there's no extra charges....

Thanks for letting us know, Barbara... Cheap cosmetics might be OK during these tough times.

So I heard too from my on line group! But, you know, some of the items may still be good deals at $1. Not much you can buy in the way of cosmetics at that price except at the dollar shop, and the ingredients of some of their stuff is suspect. Thanks for letting us know.

May I make a suggestion? If anyone bought this makeup, and is not happy with the quality....You could consider donating it to Operation Christmas Child. Do a box for a teen girl, with the ELF cosmetics. :)

I did a google to find reviews...Some people LOVE this stuff. Some do not.. Seems like the mascera is not liked well by most. Some of the other items ARE loved by most...Someone said you can find it at Kmart.

OK, so I'm the idiot who placed a HUGE order. I was able to cancel my order through the 'contact us' link on their site. Thank goodness, because they don't allow returns, and you can only cancel before they ship your order.

Elf Cosmetics is a totally legitimate company. They simply want women to feel good about themselves without breaking the bank. Elf Cosmetics has been featured in Oprah, Lucky, Glamour, Shape, and In Style Magazine. Check out the buzz...at http://www.eyeslipsface.com/tab_buzz.asp.
