Photofiddle - great gift idea and fun too!

IMG_2598.JPGIsn't this awesome?

Kind of reminiscent of Andy Warhol's Marilyn Monroe color experiments, but more friendly and accessible.

That's my Number Nine Kid Maddy - a wonderful example of why you should not stop having kids :) She's singing "Bless the Lord, My Soul."

The design was one of many created from a picture of her in Godspell last summer. That's Jonny peeking out from under her left arm, by the way, IMG_0414.JPG

A couple months ago a man named Ira offered to take a picture I chose and to turn it into a canvas. He sent back a bunch of different takes - water color, oils, charcoal, sepia, and some fun options like the one I finally chose and which arrived todaya t my front door.

Photofiddle is the name of the service - and you can log on and try out all the different styles yourself to create a unique gift for any occasion. Think of what a great surprise this would be for an engagement or wedding present, Mother's Day or Father's Day.

Ira has offered my readers a discount of 15% - if you are interested, just go to Photofiddle and when you are finished fiddling around with your photo, add the promo code mom15 to your shopping cart.

I would love to see your creations - feel free to send them to share here.

Love,

That is a lovely picture - so full of life & joyfulness.

And I love her costume. It is such a lovely dress - did you have to sew her costume? Would you know the pattern and number? The graceful neck line, swishiness of the skirt...a beautiful style for a beautiful girl.
