Possible Sebelius nomination more bad abortion news - updated
Since Tom Daschle had to step aside due to tax evasion - though since he's only one of several Obama appointees with similar problems, not sure why the self-identified "most ethical" president ever hasn't cleaned house with the rest - one prominent Democrat being floated to replace him is the governor of Kansas, who was also on the short list for Vice President.
If Obama is the most pro-abortion president ever, Gov. Sebelius will certainly give him a boost as Secretary of Health and Human Services. Her campaign was heavily funded by Planned Parenthood - you know, the "non-profit" that posted a billion dollars in income for 2008. In fact, she threw a party at the Governor's Mansion for them to thank them for their support, which led her to victory.
She's also a great supporter of and parties with George Tiller, the most nefarious abortionist in the country, who proudly conducts partial birth abortions, drawing clients to Kansas from states with laws that prohibit stabbing the skulls of near-term babies with scissors and then dragging them out dead. (Sorry, but we need to start telling the truth about what the Dinosaur Media call "a certain type of late-term procedure.)
President Obama May Name Pro-Abortion Kathleen Sebelius as Health SecretaryRead entire article here.by Steven Ertelt
Sebelius is most notorious for her close relationship with late-term abortion practitioner George Tiller, who has escaped prosecution and accountability thus far for allegedly repeatedly violating state abortion laws. . . .

Washington, DC (LifeNews.com) -- Kathleen Sebelius, the pro-abortion governor of Kansas who has been criticized for supporting late-term abortions, is now seen as the most likely pick for Health Secretary. Should President Barack Obama select her, it would add to his growing pro-abortion record as president. . . .He's done so in part because of the lax standards of Sebelius and her political cronies, to whom Tiller has donated hundreds of thousands of dollars. Governor Sebelius vetoed a bill last April that the legislature approved that would have strengthened the state's limits on late-term abortions.
That followed by a year her veto of a bill requiring explicit medical reasons for a late abortion, which was preceded by vetoing other pro-life legislation in 2006, 2005 and 2003.
Sebelius went as far as to coordinate a secret event with Tiller [pictured with Sebelius at right] at the governor's mansion that was criticized because her staff failed to officially report the event.
Her position favoring abortion is so radical and extreme that Archbishop Joseph Naumann of Kansas City called on her to stop receiving communion until she disowns her support for the "serious moral evil" of abortion.
You may be wondering how I knew this so quickly. Last year Focus on the Family sent me to Kansas to cover the political situation there and so I've done a lot of research.
Here is how Dr. Tiller represents himself: Late Abortion Care for Fetal Anomaly.
Here is the true story: Does Tiller Perform Late-Term Abortions Only in Hardship Cases?
Gov. Sebelius has blood on her own hands as she has won her victories by aiding and abetting Planned Parenthood's and Dr. Tiller's secrecy and by demonizing those who want full disclosure of abortion clinics which advertise their loose parameters in order to draw in clients victims from other states.
Another Pelosi-styled "Catholic." God help us!

Barbara, thank you for posting this. As a Kansan who is disgusted with this governor and her elevation of abortion to a core principle of her "leadership", I'm asking for readers' prayers that 1) Kathleen Sebelius NOT be put in a position of national power and 2) that she experiences a conversion of heart, listens to our wonderful Bishop Naumann who has tried valiantly to get her attention for the good of her soul, and changes her stance. Her political and financial ties with George Tiller, aka "Tiller the Killer" are a disgrace.
Pray hard!

This absolutely makes me sick. What is this country coming to? Correction: Look where it has already led us to. (sad voice). I'm praying. Dang! These pro-death politicians move fast!
Please continue keeping us informed, Barbara. It makes me want to cry but it also keeps me on my knees.

Dear Barbara,
I lived my whole life in Kansas until 4 years ago when we moved to Oklahoma. I was always ashamed to be from the abortion capitol of the world. This governor is an evil woman. She does have blood on her hands and the sad part is its from babies just like Dr. Tiller's bloody hands and from shaking his hand. I am washed in blood but it's the blood of Jesus who washes away sin. She and Tiller create sin.

My dad and my paternal grandparents live in Wichita. We were driving to lunch one afternoon and I looked over and saw the Operation Rescue building. I immediately felt sick knowing that I was in the abortion capital of the world. I can't even describe what it feels like going into that city knowing what horrors exist.
This woman has aided Tiller to continue his killing and the thought of her being the head of health and human services sends chills down my spine.

I don't know if you know of Phil Kline, but I have admired the way he has tried to get abortion clinics to at least follow the law. He has been demonized in KC for this.
[note from Barbara: that's actually the story I was covering. Phill is another example of someone who not only has the right values but acts on them - who is demonized (you chose the right word there) by the elites who want to maintain the status quo, in this case killing viable babies.]

I hope and pray this woman doesn't take a National position. It's bad enough she made it in KS.
