    The Little Red Hen
Hooray for a good work ethic! The little red hen asks but receives no help in her efforts to put bread on the table. Yet all who wouldn't help would like to eat. In a refreshingly old-fashioned triumph of moral consequences, they don't get to!

    Noisy Nora
Poor Nora! The loveable mousette experiences all the pangs of the child-in-the- middle, caught between the demands of baby brother and bossiness of big sister. Catchy meter, playful illustrations make for a wonderfully satisfying mouse's tale. Baby-Preschool

Sarah Palin at Iron Dog race

From MommyLife's personal Wasilla correspondent:

Hey Barbara -

I just wanted to share a photo with you.  I had a chance to talk to Sarah Palin on Sunday at the Iron Dog snowmachine race.  She had Trig with her and was nice enough to take a photo with me.  I have met her several times, but don't know her really.  I know her parents better than I do her.  Anyway, it was the first time I had a chance to see Trig.  What a darling!  I told her he was a beautiful baby.

After we met, she had a chance to speak to the crowd and racers directly.  I especially loved the part where she asked for God's protection over them as they race to Nome then Fairbanks.  I love a politician who is not afraid to let everyone know what she believes.

I will continue to pray for your family and Tripp especially.  God Bless

Tracey Porreca

Amazing how she always seems to have a baby on her hip while governing with a servant's heart.

Love,

Thanks for posting this. It's not easy to find an Alaskan blog which says anything fair about Gov Palin, so your comments were interesting to come across.

A belated Happy Birthday to Governor Sarah Palin! Her birthday was yesterday.
We are thrilled we saw you twice on the campaign trail!

Awesome! Loved reading that after the onslaught of all this bad news of late.

I Hope Tripp is doing well today.

Hello

Thanks for posting. I think that we all missed out by not having Sarah Palin as VP. I think she would have been such an asset to this country. I am just so frustrated with where this all is headed. Sigh....

Hugs
Amy

Yeah...I think we missed out on a great lady...Makes me sad to see her sweet picture, and know we are missing out.
