We're all socialists now - Newsweek makes it official

"In many ways our economy already resembles a European one. As boomers age and spending grows, we will become even more French." Read Newsweek article here.
All because people voted from feelings and really have no idea what the implications are for our country - a shrinking middle class, an increasingly wealthy elite, including government figures like Nancy Pelosi, and an ever-burgeoning base of citizens indentured to the government.
This is a system which has been tried without success. When people in this country wake up and realize they will no longer have access to the luxuries they've had, they will be very sorry they traded it in to follow the media hype through the looking glass.

Wow.
I can't even wrap my brain about this. Is this the international cover or the US version? This is such a ridiculous statement. Can you imagine if, after Bush's slim marginal victories, if a major magazine declared, "we are all fiscal conservatives now". Wow. They'd have been laughed into Siberia.
Obama's win was decided but not a landslide. Nearly half the people in the country DIDN'T vote for him. Their audacity is appalling.
