AIG and Barney Frank
Coming up soon:'More Animal Farm discussion,
Tripp's favorite classic movies,
Teen courtship/dating
Like I said, I get up every morning planning to write on so many things but this guy in the Oval Office and his Hired Guns keep me busy sorting out what has to be said.
I haven't even touched on the AIG bonuses which is the big focus right now. Which tells me that they probably don't want us seeing so many other things.

Barney Frank is a miserable washed- up fool who should have been voted out of office long ago. Shame on his district for keeping him there. Compare him berating the AIG people and threatening to expose their family names and addresses with McCarthy.
The people most loudly trying to stir up the anger of the American people are the ones who created this mess - despite warnings from conservatives. They
want to make sure we don't get angry at them.
And there apparently are enough foolish people in this country that it works.

I thought Barney just said that if they had to supena anyone, that it would not be down in secret and behind closed doors.
Also I thought this whole AIG mess could have been stopped a couple months ago with capping how much they could make, but the Republicans were the ones who said that it would be wrong to put a cap on how much someone could make (yet doing the same to the auto workers in detroit-making them take pay cuts).
And I also thought that this whole mess to begin with could have been stopped by any of the previous 4 Presidents (Regan, Bush, Clinton, and expecially the G.W. Bush) by not slowly (or quickly depending on the time frame) deregulating wal-street so that riskly loans could take place, etc. So by removing all of them, AIG for example grew sooo big not to fail....and it did. So instead of a company going out of business which is not good- a company went out of business that has its sticky hands in everyone else's business which should not have been there in the first place.
I could be wrong, but that is what i heard about it.

Folks,
I think Steve's comment is a good benchmark to show us what conservatives are up against. No offense, Steve, it's just that your comment is so reflective of what the establishment would want you to believe.
Yes, that's right. The Left, the counterculture, the anti-establishment is now The Establishment. Big time. If you have ever been into questioning authority, now is the time to really start doing it. I suggest you start listening to Rush Limbaugh and Laura Ingraham and Glenn Beck because the media has been feeding you propaganda. When you find out the truth - how Obama&Co have deceived you and continue to deceive you each day, you are sure to become part of the true counterculture.
I hope some other readers might want to take a stab at answering this. Frankly, I'm getting pretty exhausted.

Well, I'm first going to say that I'm no expert so please keep that in mind when reading this post. (smile).
First, we can't cap what people make for income. That is so un-American. And very very counter-productive. Like it or lump it, people are spurred on to achieve new heights by what they can earn. If the market rewards them then let them earn the money.
Second, as I recall (and please correct me if I'm wrong), Presidents Reagan and George W. Bush had their hands full with foreign affairs. Remember, Reagan was dealing with Communism at the time in a big way. It was partly due to him (and our beloved Pope JPII) that countries were released from Communism. My husband's family is direct from Poland. Communism did so much damage beyond what most people have any idea of.
Need I remind you of what George W. had to contend with? Really. The fact that this man was able to keep us safe when he had the media and the far Left working night and day against him was incredible. That man is a hero in my eyes.
Both Presidents had Democratic Congresses at the time with a brief exception. And even then...nobody had the advantage of an overwhelming number of same-party members in their Congress to support them like Pres. Obama has now. The Far Left is absolutely giddy with joy.
I can't comment very well on the other two Presidents right now. Maybe I'll think of something later.

Those who are dealing directly with this mess say the Barney Frank and Christopher Dodd are the two who are the most responsible for it. And they still have their hands in the situation. Bush and the Republicans couldn't handle them when they had the majority; that was clear. I had hoped that now that their own party has the reins, they can get rid of these jackasses and their muddling. But it does not look like this is going to happen. I urge all to write to Obama, and any Democrat to tell them that these jerks should be contained, and only they can do it. I say Democrats, because they are the only ones that can make it swing that way, given their majority right now and the fact that the Republicans already are on board for making those idiots walk the plank.
