    Noisy Nora
Poor Nora! The loveable mousette experiences all the pangs of the child-in-the- middle, caught between the demands of baby brother and bossiness of big sister. Catchy meter, playful illustrations make for a wonderfully satisfying mouse's tale. Baby-Preschool

Tripp update 3/2

Tripp saw Dr. K - his surgeon - this morning.  He is concerned, but thinks it is a topical irritation/inflammation, not a return of MRSA - based on blood tests, etc.  He took out some stitches to relieve some pressure.

He will be monitored daily.  Tomorrow he will see the infectious disease doctor and then Dr. K again.

Tripp looked much better this morning than he did last night - and really much better when he got home.

I passed on the suggestions about Johns Hopkins and second opinions.  He is not at all interested.  I can't make him and must rely on him to sort out all the advice and then rely on the still, small voice of God.  We already know that God has used this time to accomplish some good things that might not otherwise have become part of our experience.  One of those is the reliance on prayer and counting on friends to pray with us.

Thank you so much - I will update tomorrow.
Love,

I am praying, Barbara. I hope the site heals. He has been so strong through all of these surgeries, as have you.

Thank you all for your continuing prayers and advice. It is very comforting to know of your concern and spiritual support through this storm we have been called upon to weather. I am reminded as storms go, it is of such a small scale compared to the trials that others are or have been through....
I saw the infectious disease doc and the surgeon today. Both are worried about the infection and the long term outcome for my leg....but we all agreed upon an initial strategy of combat. They have doubled up on the IV antibiotic I was taking already and added another that is synergistic with the first. We are also adding a daily regimen of Rifampin (a drug used to fight TB) that is a piggyback to the IV antibiotics that I took before. I will see the doc again later this week after labs are done and have another report. In the meantime, we covet your prayers. Please pray especially for Barbara and the extra load this puts on her once again. I was just starting to be able to help a little.
