Tripp update
Please pray earnestly for Tripp.
He had been making wonderful progress after the 2/10 knee replacement - even walking around with no crutches and with about 30 degrees flex.
Thursday he became very ill and started having more pain. Saw the doctor Friday. His blood levels looked okay, but the wound was looking somewhat redder than it had been. The doctor sad to come back Tuesday.
It has gotten worse, I'm afraid. He will call first thing tomorrow, but I'm thinking that the only thing standing between my husband and another hospitalization is a miracle.
Please pray. I will let you know as soon as we know anything.

Dear Jesus, Divine Physician and Healer of the sick, we turn to you in this time of illness. O dearest comforter of the troubled, alleviate our worry and sorrow with your gentle love, and grant us the grace and strength to accept this burden. Dear God, we place our worries in your hands. We place our sick under your care and humbly ask that you restore your servant to health again. Above all, grant us the grace to acknowledge your will and know that whatever you do, you do for the love of us. Amen.

Barbara!! Don't call tomorrow. Call NOW. If the wound is looking worse, and red, he's got another infection. He needs to be seen NOW.
My family's prayers are with you!

I read this with a heavy heart. Tripp has been in our prayers for a long time and we will continue to pray for him to our loving God who has counted all the hairs on Tripp's head...and yours too. Hang in there.

Oh, Barbara. He's in our prayers. Do get him to Johns Hopkins for a consult. They are ranked first in the country for this sort of surgery.
We are dealing with a hip replacement for MIL at the moment with a double knee replacement following soon after. MRSA infection is the big fear among all of these folks who have had these surgeries. We have her in a rehabilitation place where they keep a constant eye on her and work with her twice a day. She'll be home with us next week, and then we are planning for those knees which we will do at Special Surgery in NYC. It is not wise to do these thing at community hospitals because of the infection risks that are so high these days.
God Bless, and many, many prayers.

Barbara, we have continued to pray for Tripp, you, and the children daily. We'll say extra prayers for healing and your (all of you) strength as you prepare for God's will in your lives (Jer. 29:11), whatever that may be.
You may have lots of folks giving you advice right now, so forgive me if I am just one more, but have you considered consulting with a different doctor at a different hospital? Just a thought.....sometimes when there is an unusual turn of events, we need to hear things that we have already thought of come from the mouth of others.
Try to take care of yourself as much as possible. I do wish I was close enough to give you a hug and do your laundry (or anything else), but saying many prayers instead.
